Astroworld’s Death Concert Impact, Travis Scott Responsible for Victim’s Funeral and Therapy Costs : Okezone Celebrity

THE ANGELSTravis Scott will refund Astroworld attendees and will not be performing at Festival Day N Vegas this weekend, according to a source close to the rapper.

The premiere at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds is scheduled for Saturday, November 13, less than a week after his own Astroworld festival takes place at Houston’s NRG Park.

Concert ends in riot, Travis Scott is sued by fans

Scott is said to be still in such bad shape and so desperate that he decided to miss the festival. This comes after eight people died and dozens were injured at its Astroworld festival on Friday.

Quoted from Variety, Travis Scott will provide a full refund of the concert money to the audience who bought tickets to the Astroworld Festival concert.

On Monday Scott said he would cover all funeral expenses for the victims and he had partnered with BetterHelp to provide free one-on-one online therapy for those affected by the tragedy.

“This is the first of many steps Travis is planning as part of his personal vows to assist those affected during their grieving and recovery process,” Scott’s rep said in a statement.

According to the Houston Chronicle, police and firefighters said the “mass casualty” incident occurred at 9:38 p.m., exactly 32 minutes after Scott’s set began. When it was seen a wave of crowd began to scramble to approach the stage. At that time, the promoter agreed and found a way to shorten the concert time, especially after receiving reports that there had been victims. But the show went on until Scott ran the planned setlist and finished on schedule at 10:15pm.

Drake was also at the concert. Drake appeared on stage for the final songs of Scott’s performance. The concert was broadcast live via the web to audiences worldwide by Apple Music. The second night of the festival, which was planned to be held on Saturday, was immediately canceled as the number of victims on the first night became obvious.

Like Astroworld, Day N Vegas is a general admissions festival, where under normal circumstances, fans are left fighting for the lead. Scott will perform on the main stage, also known as the Frank Stage, from 10:45 p.m. to 11:45 p.m. on Saturday night, followed by sets by Lil Baby and Doja Cat.

Roddy Rich, who had the opportunity to take the stage just before Travis Scott, is also rumored to be dedicating his profits at the Astroworld Festival to the families of those who died.

There has been no word at this time from AEG, Goldenvoice’s parent company, the festival promoter, about Scott’s Saturday night slot changing or rescheduling from the current set.
